Three Qualities For Success in 2016

Hello and welcome to 2016! Wow! Time really moves, doesn’t it? Before we know it it’s going to Christmas time again!

I want you to take just one second to think about that.

OK. We’re back.

My goal with this little post is to let you know what I’ve found to be the biggest factors in people’s results. There are three and I want to go over them one by one. Now, I don’t want you to get overwhelmed. There are ways to help get you on track for all three. Small things that anyone can do with just a little bit of a mindset shift. I’ll talk about that tomorrow because I don’t want to make this post very long.

  1. Consistency. This is easy. If you can’t even show up, nothing is going to happen. It’s that simple. I don’t even care how hard you work when you do show up. Commitment to consistency puts you in a mental space that simply expects effort and doesn’t accept excuses. After all, life is going to throw obstacles in your way. Are you just going to let that happen?

  2. Effort. Once you’ve made the commitment to show up, it’s time to make it count. Just walking in the door isn’t enough and why would you expect it to be? I don’t mean that you have to work yourself into a frenzy every time you hit the gym but if you’re not pushing yourself a little, what can you really expect?

  3. Love. Listen. I hear you. Not everyone loves to hit the gym and work out. I know that and I understand it. Here’s something else I know and understand: when someone looks at exercise as a chore and a punishment they will not succeed. You need to approach this from a position of doing something positive out of love for yourself, not as something you have to do just to feel good about yourself.

I know this might not seem so groundbreaking. I know there’s nothing here to get you “Mindblowing Results In Just 21 Days!!!!!!” but I’ve seen hundreds of people over my time as a trainer. I can tell you that no matter who they are or what they want, when people get results these three qualities are a constant. They might not always be there from the beginning but over time they are developed through small actions that are performed each and every day.

Tomorrow I’m going to go over some specific things you can do to set yourself up for success this year. Just to give you a quick preview, we’re going to start small and manageable and build from there.

Lastly, if you want to get even more detailed that I can get here, I’m going to be giving a FREE seminar this Saturday the 9th. It’ll take place at noon at Dr. Rob Katona’s office at 21715 Redwood Road in Castro Valley. Dr. Katona and I will be going over some easy ways to make sure that you get off on the right foot this year. We will get as detailed on what you need to do as you like.

If you’d like to come just send an email to me at MitchRFitness@gmail.com and I’ll put you on the list. It’s FREE! What have you got to lose (except whatever is holding you back!)

I’ll be back tomorrow with some more hints. Have a great day!
